Hazebrook all started when Geno Shvedov realized, “there has to be a better way.” He was navigating a system that was broken and fighting the battle of addiction and finding a lot of dead ends and systems that were hindering his progress in building a successful sober life. So he decided to create a solution designed to help people win the battle of addiction and thrive in recovery.

An important part of recovery is having a vibrant sober community to celebrate wins, offer accountability, and challenge its members to grow mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. That is what Hazelbrook Community Center offers. Individuals in recovery have a place to grown themselves and build relationships with others walking the recovery journey through classes such as leadership, financial health, faith-based groups, Crossfit, and boxing. We also host a variety of sober events to strengthen our community.

Hazelbrook Community Center is unique in that we offer services to individuals at every step of their recovery journey. We have our Transitional Safety Zone [TSZ] homes for those individuals still working on detoxing their systems, care management for those who are on the journey, job readiness training, REAL Resource events and much more.

Yesterday was an experience I never thought I would ever experience it was nice to have people be happy and proud of you for once then to look down on you in disgust and shame! Thank you for that opportunity

God brought me to Hazelbrook when I had no shoes on my feet and only the clothes on my back. Now I have a stable job, a roof over my head and the willingness to keep going every time I get knocked down!

The fact I was so convinced I was destined to just wither away became a reality until I actually pulled myself out of the mud and grab a hold of the numerous helping hands reaching out for mine. Hazelbrook gave me the privilege to embrace my future me.
